One of our Pals takes on Britain’s toughest bike ride

Chloe Marriage, 17, has been part of the PALS family for years – and this summer she’s taking on Land’s End to John o’ Groats on her Hase Pino tandem. Born with cerebral palsy, Chloe found freedom on a bike aged two and never looked back. She’ll be joined by her dad, brothers, mum (driving support) and the family dog for 18 days on the road from 26 July. Chloe’s raising money for PALS and Treloar’s – because she wanted to give something back.

PALS with Purpose: Chloe’s Going the Distance and we are supporting her all the way!
On 26th July 2026, one of our amazing PALS, Chloe, is setting off on the adventure of a lifetime. Over 17 days, she’ll be cycling 874 miles from Land’s End to John o’ Groats — the entire length of Britain — to raise money for PALS West Berkshire.
That’s roughly 51 miles a day. Through Cornish cliffs, Devon hills, Lake District passes, and the wild Scottish Highlands. In all weathers. On two wheels. Because she believes in what we do.
If that doesn’t make you want to lace up your trainers, charge up your power chair, or pump up your tyres, nothing will. More details to follow on how you can support her too. Watch this space.
Chloe said: “And the best bit is Daddy says I can eat as much pasta and cake as I like!“
July 2026: PALS smash last years position with 5th place!
What a fantastic day representing PALS at Newbury Krazy Karts! Our pirate ship, The PALS Pearl — designed by the Brilliant Bosley family — certainly turned heads. Huge shout out to Daredevil Dave, who fearlessly steered us round the course like a pro, and Marvellous Martin, who kept everything shipshape in the pit crew with some seriously speedy repairs!
The day was all about teamwork, determination and having fun together, and we’re so proud of what everyone achieved. From cheering each other on to keeping the pirate spirit alive (and showing off some award-worthy dance moves), every member of the team played their part. Special mention to Hotstepping Helen, Bouncing Barry, Outstepping Oscar and Sidestepping Sophie for their brilliant sword fights and kart wheelies! And last but by no means least, thanks to our very own Team Principal, Amazing Amy who would give Toto Wolff a run for his money!!
We made it all the way to the final and came 5th — and Dave was over the moon to get the ship down in under 30 seconds!
To top it off, we brought home not one but two awards — Team of Teams and Best Performance!! Huge thanks to everyone who supported us and helped make it such a memorable day. Until next year… ahoy!
